Flower Care
So you've just been flowered! Yay! What's the best way to extend the life of cut flowers you ask?
Arrangements
If you just received a Flowerfolk arrangement, your flower team has made sure they are fresh, healthy, and wildly blooming. They have been given a fresh cut and put in the right amount of water to support their first 24 hours.
Once you receive them, you will notice them bloom or open a lot by the second day. Provide them with a light cool water top off. Over the course of the next several days, change their water if it starts to look cloudy with filtered water if available. Take out any dead heads or fading flowers. Your flowers should last 3-5 days. With proper care and providing them with cool fresh water every other day, many of our arrangements will still be blooming beautifully at 5-7 days! Contrary to a lot of flower care instructions out there, you do not need to supplement with flower food.
Pro-tip: Cut flowers do not like to be placed in direct sunlight or the gentle breeze of an air vent. Keep away!
Wrapped Bouquets
The same care and love is put into our hand tied bouquets - we have ensured they are freshly cut, healthy and wildly blooming! If you want a more wild look, simply untie the ribbon, unwrap, and place in a tall vase (8"+ height). They should arrange themselves beautifully for a garden inspired wild look.
Otherwise, feel free to cut them to size and use in one or many vases! Make sure they have fresh water every other day, removing any dead heads or fading flowers and you're all set for 3-5 days of beautiful blooms!
Why didn't my wrap include flower food you ask? Well, we've done the test, and the flowers that are just given fresh water daily have the longest and prettiest blooming life.
